Lone Star Select Wolverines

10U AAA Baseball – Spring 2026

Financial Commitment & Registration Instructions

At the Lone Star Select Wolverines, we believe parents deserve complete clarity regarding the financial structure of our program. As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, every dollar contributed goes directly toward delivering a first-class baseball experience for our players — without any leadership compensation or unnecessary overhead.

Our Commitment to Families

We operate with three core principles:

1. Transparency

All standard Spring season expenses are included in the published player cost:

  • Coaching

  • Fields and facilities

  • Tournaments included in the Spring schedule

  • Team technology and statistics platforms

  • Baseballs, equipment, and scrimmage umpires

  • Insurance and compliance

  • Uniforms and gear packages (for new players)

There are no hidden fees, no surprise add-ons, and no end-of-season assessments built into our standard Spring season.

The only potential exception involves rare, high-profile, invitation-only travel tournaments that fall outside the normal Spring budget. These events are not guaranteed but may arise during the season based on team performance, reputation, or direct invitations from tournament organizers.

Potential Travel-Based Invitation Tournaments

If the Wolverines receive an invitation, the event may be located in:

  • Myrtle Beach, North Carolina

  • Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

  • Gulf Coast, Florida

  • Las Vegas, Nevada

  • Las Cruces, New Mexico

  • Japan

  • Australia

2. Stewardship

Our organization is run entirely by volunteers. No board member or organizational leader receives any salary, stipend, or profit from the baseball club. Every operational decision is made with a focus on stewardship, transparency, and maximizing player benefit.

3. Coaching Excellence

We proudly employ some of the highest-paid and most experienced coaches in select baseball, because we believe elite coaching is the foundation of a truly developmental, competitive program. Our coaching staff has been personally selected for their character, teaching ability, and technical baseball knowledge.

Practice How We Play

At the Lone Star Select Wolverines, we believe in practicing how we play. Each player is required to arrive at every practice in his full practice uniform unless otherwise notified in advance. This standard reinforces professionalism, team identity, and prepares players mentally and physically for game-day performance.

Gear Expectations

  • Players should arrive at all team events and practices in clean, well-maintained uniforms

  • Full practice uniform is required unless advance notice is given by coaching staff

  • Gear should be stored properly to prevent damage and maintain appearance

  • Lost or damaged items may be replaced at the family's expense

  • All gear remains the property of the player and family at the conclusion of the season

Personal Equipment Policy

The Lone Star Select Wolverines organization provides all uniform, team-branded apparel, and batting helmets as outlined above. However, we do not provide equipment that is deemed subjective by individual players, such as:

  • Bats (personal preference for weight, length, and brand)

  • Gloves (fit, position-specific needs, and break-in preference)

  • Batting gloves (grip preference and sizing)

  • Cleats (fit, comfort, and playing surface preference)

  • Other protective gear (catchers equipment, sliding shorts, cups, etc.)

We believe players perform best when using equipment they have personally selected and are comfortable with. Families are responsible for providing these items based on their player's individual needs and preferences.

Player Development Package

Our Philosophy: Player development is the heart of the Lone Star Select Wolverines. For Spring 2026, both our 10U AAA and 10U AA teams will receive a professional-grade training experience designed to build complete, confident, fundamentally sound baseball players.

Our commitment is simple: Elite development at 10U should look and feel like elite development at any level.

1. Elite Coaching & Instruction

We have hired the strongest coaching staff we could find—teachers of the game who specialize in:

  • Fundamental mechanics (throwing, hitting, fielding, footwork)

  • Game-speed decision-making

  • Defensive and offensive IQ

  • Base-running strategy

  • Athleticism, strength, and mobility

  • Age-appropriate leadership and mental approach

Our coaches teach why something works—not just how to do it. We build smart baseball players who understand the concepts behind the game.

2. Technique, Athleticism & Safety

Every Wolverine in the 10U program will train in:

Throwing Mechanics & Arm Strength: Proper sequencing, efficient movement, accuracy, and safe velocity development.

Hitting Mechanics & Swing Decisions: Swing plane, bat path, timing, pitch recognition, and situational hitting.

Athleticism Training: Speed, agility, quickness, movement quality, balance, mobility, and body control.

Safety & Arm Care: Age-appropriate workloads, stretching, warm-ups, recovery routines, and injury-prevention training.

3. D1 Training Integration

We are proud to incorporate the training philosophies of D1 Training, one of the nation's top youth athletic development systems.

D1 Will Attend At Least Three Practices This Spring

Players will participate in sessions focused on:

  • Speed & acceleration

  • Strength development (age-appropriate)

  • Core stability & movement efficiency

  • Agility, footwork & explosiveness

  • Pro-level warm-up and recovery techniques

4. Advanced Arm-Care Program (ArmCare.com)

We have invested in the best arm-care technology available. Every pitcher in our 10U AAA and 10U AA programs will receive a personalized arm-care profile through ArmCare.com, one of the most trusted arm-health systems in baseball.

Program Features Include:

  • Baseline testing of arm strength & range of motion

  • Regular evaluations throughout the season

  • Individualized training routines based on athlete data

  • Fatigue monitoring & workload management

  • Pitch-count guidance based on each player's arm health

  • Early detection of strength imbalances

  • Development of long-term durability and velocity

"You can't improve what you don't measure."

"Assessment-based training increases performance and reduces injury risk."

"Youth athletes can safely build durable throwing arms when guided by proper feedback."

This is a premium program that most 10U teams do not provide.

5. Training Gear Provided

Every player in the 10U AAA & AA program will have access to and/or receive:

Training Equipment

  • Arm bands

  • Swing-plane trainers

  • Tees

  • Nets

Development Tools

  • Weighted and non-weighted training balls

  • Pitching/throwing development tools

  • Speed/agility equipment

  • Additional professional-grade equipment used by our coaching staff

Our promise: If a tool can help a player improve, we'll make sure our teams have it.

6. Guest Coaches & Specialists

Throughout the season, we will bring in additional guest coaches to expose players to:

  • Position-specific instruction

  • Mental approach strategies

  • Catching and pitching expertise

  • Defensive and offensive systems

  • Baseball-IQ and situational awareness

7. The Wolverine Standard

Development is not an afterthought—it is the core of our program.

We are committed to: Teaching • Explaining • Demonstrating • Correcting • Repeating • Encouraging • Building

And building athletes the right way.

Your player will get serious, meaningful, high-quality baseball development regardless of AAA or AA roster.

Media Package

Capturing the Moments That Matter

One of the core values of the Lone Star Select Wolverines program is that our boys will only be this age one time. We take that responsibility seriously. Baseball is a game of memories—moments of joy, growth, teamwork, and family. As part of our program, we are deeply committed to capturing those moments in a way that honors the effort your son puts into this game and preserves this special chapter of his life forever.

Multi-Camera Streaming & Game Access

When available, we will stream live games using our multi-camera setup, including:

  • A high-quality main camera behind home plate

  • Right-field and left-field angle cameras

  • An over-the-shoulder pitcher camera

  • Full scoreboard integration (balls, strikes, outs, inning, player at-bat)

  • Starlink satellite internet for reliable streaming, even at remote complexes

Our goal is to provide a high-quality, multi-angle viewing experience for families, relatives, and supporters who can't attend in person—whether they're across town or across the country. When the event allows, we will stream games directly through Perfect Game or GameChanger.

YouTube Channel & Wolverines Media Hub

We are also in the final phases of launching the official Lone Star Select Wolverines YouTube channel, which will house:

  • Full-length game films from the season

  • Highlight reels and media clips

  • Player moments, celebrations, and behind-the-scenes content

  • Occasional interviews and fun team segments

  • Team announcements and promotional media

In addition, our website will include dedicated sections for the 10U AA and 10U AAA teams, featuring:

  • Player profiles

  • Write-ups and accomplishments

  • Fun facts and personality highlights

  • Family-focused content and media galleries

  • Rosters, schedules, and season updates

Professional Photography

At least once during the spring season, we will bring in a professional sports photographer to capture high-quality action photos of your player. These are the once-in-a-lifetime moments we want to lock in permanently, and professional imagery ensures you always have something beautiful to look back on.

Why We Do This

The management team of the Lone Star Select Wolverines fully admits to suffering from two serious conditions:

  • A severe case of F.O.M.O. (Fear of Missing Out)

  • A severe case of Y.O.L.O. (You Only Live Once)

We do not want to miss anything when it comes to documenting this journey. By becoming a member of the Lone Star Select Wolverines family, you are not only joining a baseball program—you are joining a memory-making machine. Our media package exists so your family will have best-in-class, professionally preserved memories of these years of your child's life.

We can't freeze time, but we can capture it.

And we will—beautifully, professionally, and with the full Wolverines spirit.

Spring 2026 Schedule Overview

The Lone Star Select Wolverines AAA and AA teams will both participate in a full Spring tournament schedule, along with structured weekly practices and development sessions designed to prepare our players for competitive baseball at a high level.

Weekly Practice Schedule

Practice InformationDetailsLocationBaseball USA (Houston, TX)DaysEvery Tuesday & ThursdayTime5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Triple-A Team

  • On-field for the full two hours

  • Additional cage work, pitching progressions, and arm-care sessions integrated as needed

Double-A Team

  • 5:00–6:00 PM: On-field instruction

  • 6:00–7:00 PM: Batting cages + hitting development + arm-care routines

At the discretion of the coaching staff, we will also combine practices periodically, allowing AA players to train alongside more advanced players. We believe this exposure accelerates development, increases confidence, and elevates baseball IQ across both rosters.

Seasonal Expectations & Commitment

We maintain a flexible schedule philosophy in the Fall, when many players participate in football or other sports. However, Spring is baseball season.

We ask all families to understand the importance of commitment during this time:

  • Attendance at Spring practices and games is expected and essential for skill progression and team success

  • Life happens—we understand—and we will always do everything we can to work with our families

  • But in order to maintain a guaranteed roster spot: Spring attendance must be a priority whenever at all possible.

This expectation is not about rigidity—it is about respect for the team, the development process, and the investment we are making into your athlete.
